WELCOME TO THE DRILL HALL

YOUR DRILL HALL
The Drill Hall is a volunteer run Community and Arts Centre located in Lower Chepstow close to Chepstow Castle, Chepstow Museum and the Riverside with its gardens and Bandstand.
YOUR ENTERTAINMENT
In normal times The Hall mounts a programme of Friday night mainstream cinema, one Tuesday per month foreign or independent films, as well as live broadcast ballet, opera and national theatre. 

OUR USERS

The Chepstow society, Chepstow U3A, local amateur dramatic groups as well as commercial organisations hire the hall for concerts, performances, meetings, shows and markets many of which are open to the public.
HOW DO I FIND OUT WHAT'S ON AT THE HALL?
We issue an email newsletter about 2 times a month listing the programme at the Hall. Go to "what's on - what's new" below to and click on the big red button to see the current edition.
ORGANISING YOUR OWN EVENT
The Drill Hall is available to hire for groups, societies, individuals and businesses. For details of facilities and how to book see the Booking the Hall section.

CAN YOU HELP

The Drill Hall is run by volunteers with a part-time caretaker. We welcome new members to the dedicated team, to get involved talk to those behind the ticket desk or bar at any of the cinema or live broadcast events.

BOOKING THE HALL

The Hall can be hired for a wide range of events including:

Club and society meetings
Community and social events
Some private parties
Theatre, concert and cinema performances
Lectures, conferences, sales, exhibitions and day schools
Some commercial uses
The management committee wish to make the Hall easily available for the whole community but will not accept any bookings that have the potential to cause damage to the reputation or the fabric of the Hall.

The Hall can seat 225 for lectures, theatre, concerts, cinema or conferences.

There is a well-equipped kitchen with plenty of plates crockery and cutlery and glasses and an industrial dishwasher with a three-minute cycle time.
The Hall is licensed for most forms of entertainment and the sale of alcohol. This makes it an ideal venue for charity events as it presents an opportunity for the organisation to profit from the sale of drinks.
There is a large stage with theatre lighting and two dressing rooms each with their own toilet facilities
All parts of the Hall are fully accessible for wheelchair users
There are conference and lecture facilities including a sound system with radio microphone display screens, projection screens, a data, overhead and slide projectors etc. These are available to hire at an additional cost
